FSW Friction Stir Welding Technology

 

Precision CNC Channel Milling

6061 / 6063 aluminum blanks are milled with customized serpentine, straight or maze internal flow channels according to thermal load demands. Precise depth & dimensional control ensures uniform coolant flow and maximum contact heat transfer area.

 
 

Solid-State Friction Stir Welding Sealing

No melting, no filler metal. High-speed rotating tool generates frictional heat to plasticize aluminum edges, permanently bonding two plates into one sealed body. Eliminates weak solder joints common in brazed cold plates.

 
 

Integrated Nozzle Machining & Tapping

Inlet/outlet pipe stubs are machined as one-piece structure; front surface pre-drilled & tapped holes for tight mounting with IGBT, GPU, battery modules and power components.

 
 

Surface Finishing & Strict Pressure Testing

Surface options: Mill finish, clear anodizing for corrosion resistance. Every cold plate undergoes 100% air pressure leak testing and hydraulic pressure endurance test before shipment.
