The typical lifespan of a CPU water cooling system is around five years, so frequent fluid replacement is not necessary.
1. At the same price point, there is no significant difference in cooling performance between air coolers and water coolers.
2. A small amount of fluid evaporation occurs in water cooling systems, but as long as the loss does not exceed 15%, normal operation remains unaffected. These systems generally require no routine maintenance-meaning you do not need to add water. The only exception is a leak caused by human error, in which case the entire liquid circulation module would need to be replaced.
3. Since top-tier water cooling systems typically last about five years, there is no need to worry about changing the fluid during use. Unauthorized disassembly can damage the tubing and cause coolant leakage, thereby impairing performance.
Coolant is added through the fill port on the pump or reservoir. Simply unscrew the cap and pour in the fluid. It is important to note that the pump should be running while filling, and the heat exchanger should be slowly tilted or rocked to expel trapped air; otherwise, heat dissipation efficiency may be compromised.
